SafeQuake Earthquake Theatre
Join us at the Alaska Experience Theatre and 4th Avenue Market Place, where you will find what nearly five minutes of destruction did to south-central Alaska back in 1964 and the rest of the Pacific. The charts and displays provides the most comprehensive look of the destruction that took place where the Theatre and Market Place sits today.
The Alaska Earthquake Exhibit combines science and history exhibits with an actual 4.5 shake while viewing the "Great Alaska Earthquake" movie in our Safequake Theatre." Exciting!!!
The Alaska Experience Theatre is located on 333 W. 4th Avenue. Just across the street where the Howard Johnson sits today at 209 W. 4th Avenue was the Denali Theatre pictured above at about 10 feet below street level.
